Jason was responsible for maintaining BME's financial accounts and accounting systems, and providing support to BME's regulatory functions including establishing and maintaining financial corporate governance systems. This included responsibility for managing the internal accounts, annual audit process, risk management and management of finance staff.
Jason was accountable for the efficient utilisation of BME's financial resources through:
the management of financial strategies, developing and recommending alternative strategies as appropriate;
the maintenance and review of financial policy, ensuring that all operational and management decision making processes were in accordance with agreed policies;
the undertaking of financial analysis and provision of general advice on financial matters to the Board and the CEO; the review of and reporting on financial performance indicators;
the development of financial models and costings;
the preparation of statutory financial statements and reports.
Jason ensured that the Board and Management were provided with timely financial information. He was responsible for the integrity of all reconciliations and financial reporting, and the development, implementation and evaluation of financial systems which included the following:
Jason showed an ability to lead and manage the finance team, which included working collaboratively to share information, expertise and to provide support. Jason was professional and ethical in his approach and showed a high degree of personal integrity and credibility. Jason is enthusiastic and diligent, and I wish him every success in his future endeavours.
